Ch. 4: Impossible

Cohen: “A friend…a friendship cannot consist of a man and a woman, though that’s just my opinion. However if that is how you’d like to handle this, let’s give it a try.”

Saying so, he took in a big breath.

Cohen: “Then shall we start with a handshake?”

He said it with a chuckle and held his hand out to me.

OO: “…sure.”

I took his hand and…

Cohen: “…”

After Cohen stood there for a moment in silence, he gently embraced me.

OO: “Eh…”

Cohen: “… … I can’t do it.”

Ch. 5: Land of Passion

Cohen: “I can’t do it after all.”

As he held me, my heart started to pound…-

Cohen: “There, can you hear it? The sound of my heart.”

I started to realize that his heart was beating almost as fast as mine.

Cohen: “I can’t agree to conceal the pounding of my own heart.”

He looked straight into my eyes with that passionate gaze.

Cohen: “Love what you love, hate what you hate. And beautiful things…they are beautiful. Is it wrong to think like that?”

OO: “…”

I couldn’t find an answer to such a straight-forward sentiment.

Cohen: “I can’t help wanting to touch beautiful things…I want to touch you.”

Saying as much, he gently placed his hand near my ear.

(My heart…)

Cohen: “I want to hold you.”

He sighed into my ear.

Cohen: “I want to kiss you…”

He drew nearer to my lips…

OO: “…I-“

It was already too late to say anything, but I hit his hand that was on my face and refused the kiss.

Cohen: “…I see. Well, there’s nothing to be done then.”

He smiled sadly, and released me from his arms.

(Th-thank goodness.)

However…-

Cohen: “…what, that’s what you thought I’d say?”

OO: “Eh!?”

In an instant, Cohen, who had moved away from me, suddenly drew nearer.

(…he’s so close!)

Cohen: “This is Randalusia, the Land of Passion. I will try countless times, so as not to bring shame to my title as prince of this country. Best prepare yourself…amore.”

His eyes flashed.

I couldn’t look away from his gaze that seemed to burn.
