Ch. 5: Her Conquer Strategy

After that…-.

A deep, endlessly blue sky spread overhead through the window.

I sat on the bed, looking at the candle as I thought.

(I wonder if there’s anything Drei likes other than games…)

But no matter how much I thought, I couldn’t remember having seen Drei enjoying anything.

(…I’ll just try asking him.)

OO: “Drei.”

Drei was laying down in his usual spot.

Drei: “What now?”

OO: “Drei, is there anything that you want?”

Drei: “Something I want…? Why?”

OO: “Uh… well, I want to know more about you… besides the games.”

Drei looked at me as if he couldn’t believe what I was saying.

Drei: “What flag is this?”

OO: “F…flag?”

Drei: “Or does this mean… you’re trying to conquer me?”

OO: “C-conquer…!”

Drei: “…though I think it’d be pretty difficult to do that.”

With that, Drei smiled wickedly, and just a little pridefully, before leaving.

(What do I do… I think there’s been a weird misunderstanding.)

Thinking that, I turned back to the castle.

Drei watched OO, hidden from view.

Drei: “I wonder what ending this leads to… I won’t let you get a happy end that easily though.”

His thoughts still whirling, Drei thought of a single idea…

He smiled boldly.

Drei: “…”

Ch. 6: Bad End

The beautifully brilliant sun was hidden behind a veil of clouds in the sky.

I had been called by Drei and arrived in front of his room.

(In the end, I couldn’t explain to Drei about the misunderstanding.)

Planning to tell him properly this time, I knocked at the door, however…

There was no answer from inside.

(Is something wrong?)

OO: “Um, Drei…”

Then suddenly, the door was flung open and I was forcibly pulled inside.

OO: “…!?”

In the next instant, my shoulders were gripped and my back was pushed against the door.

OO: “D…Drei…?”

My body froze as I remembered when I had first seen Drei after coming to the Land of Time.

Drei: “…hehe.”

Drei looked at me, a bold smile on his face.

Drei: “…you really have no danger sense.”

OO: “Wh…what are you talking about?”

Drei: “I’m not going to let you leave this room anymore.”

OO: “Eh…!?”

Drei: “This is the bad end.”

OO: “Bad end?”

I couldn’t understand what Drei was doing or what he was saying, and all I could do was repeat his words back at him.

(Just what in the world is happening right now…!?)

Drei: “I don’t want to do the ending you want.”

OO: “If this is about the conquering thing… that was a misunderstanding!”

Drei: “A misunderstanding? …no, this is different. Let me put it another way. What kind of ending did you want to get with me?”

I swallowed hard at his words.

OO: “…!”

I tried to run, but he grabbed my wrists.

Drei: “Well…? This is what happens when you want to conquer me. Get it now?”

Drei stared at me with his piercing gaze.

Drei: “I have the right to enjoy this game too you know.”

OO: “Wh-what are you talking about?”

Drei: “I already said it didn’t I? I’m not going to let you leave.”

OO: “…Drei.”

Drei whispered against my ear.

Drei: “This is what’s called the confinement end. A bad end for you.”

My body shook as I heard the delight in Drei’s voice.

OO: “…!”

Drei: “I’ve soundproofed this room. And no one will come, not event the servants, unless I call for them.”

(Is this what… Drei wants to do?)

There was a smile and look of joy in Drei’s eyes that I’d never seen before.

(He looks like he’s having fun…but still.)

OO: “…I’m scared.”

Drei: “Me too. I could never understand what you were doing…but I’m very interested in you. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this kind of excitement. Lately all the games I’ve played have been boring.”

Drei placed his lips against my ear.

OO: “…!”

His breath tickled and I turned away, but he tightened his grip around my wrists as if to remind me that I couldn’t run away.

OO: “Drei…”

Drei: “That’s right, just stay right there.”

I stood still, unable to go against his words.

Drei: “It’s thrilling right? This different type of game with something like a one-sided conquer route?”

With a click, I heard a key locking the door…

I quietly closed my eyes.

In the next instant, Drei placed a kiss on my ear.

Secret Story: Beginning of the Game

The moon was hidden behind the clouds in the night sky.

On that night…-.

I had called OO to my room.

Drei: “…”

She hadn’t come yet.

I closed my eyes and concentrated on my thoughts.

(It’s likely that she’ll thoughtlessly come to the room. Unaware that what awaits her is a bad end…)

Drei: “…hehe… ahahahaha!”

I laughed aloud, unable to contain myself.

My voice echoed in the room.

Drei: “She really is foolish. Saying she wants to conquer someone like me? I’ve never met someone like that.”

(It’s the first time I’ve played such an exciting game.)

At that time, there was a sound at the door.

It was likely OO.

Drei: “…”

(…game start.)

OO: “Um, Drei…”

Over my shoulder I could hear the unease in her voice.

(I’m not going to open it right away. I don’t like games that are that easy. It shouldn’t be long before a person’s interest is piqued. Three, two, one…)

Drei: “…”

I whipped the door open and pulled OO into the room.

OO: “…!?”

(Wow, you really are lacking in the ability to handle a crisis.)

I hid the smile that was working its way to my face and pushed OO against the door.

OO: “D…Drei…?”

She looked at me, her expression stiff.

Drei: “…hehe.”

(Oh no, I can’t help but enjoy this.)

Drei: “I’m not going to let you leave this room anymore.”

OO: “Eh…!?”

Drei: “I don’t want to do the ending you want.”

(I want you to amuse me, forever.)

OO: “…I’m scared.”

(I’m scared… too?)

At that moment, an indescribably pleasant feeling overwhelmed me.

(I’ve never seen a person display such magnificence and weakness before. You have a gift for amusing me.)

I reflexively tightened my grip around her wrist.

(Maybe it’s quite possible that OO has already succeeded in conquering me…)

Drei: “That’s right, just stay right there.”

I locked the room, creating a world with only the two of us.

I placed a kiss on her ear.

The curtain was only now rising on this game with OO that had no ending.
