At the invitation of the princes of the Land of the Calendar, Julius has arrived in town, the place full of people welcoming the new year. He took great pains to bring along the other flower princes, including Nepenthes, Lyon, Gerber, and Akito. The five of them see a stand crowded with people…-.

In Kuyou of the Land of the Calendar for the celebration of the new year, the blue sky was clear and expansive overhead…-.

Julius, having accepted an invitation from Kanoe and Inami, invited the other princes of the Land of Flower Fairies to visit the town in its festive décor.

Nepenthes: “Aah! What a sweet scent! There’s so much food that can only be eaten in this country during the new year…”

Lyon: “Nepe, this stall is really popular. Is it a food shop?”

In front of a noticeably crowded stall, there were cloth bags and golden sheets of paper that seemed to be selling in a flash.

Gerber: “’Fate Bundle’? It says there are various patterned fabrics and small items inside.”

Nepenthes: “How disappointing. That’s completely uninteresting for me. My tongue would have danced in ecstasy were the contents to be some kind of delicacy…”

Akito: “Everyone seems to be coming here because of an interest in these fortune notes. It’s a special note that the princes of Kuyou have packed with good fortune, or so says the note on the signboard.

Lyon: “By good fortune, does that mean it tells you how to have a good year? I want to try!”

Julius: “Wait, we’re supposed to be meeting Inami. We don’t have time to…”

Gerber: “We still have a little time before we said we’d be there… and we’re already here. Why not let everyone try it?”

Julius: “Well, I guess there’s no helping it…”

Pushing along the interested Gerber and Lyon, the princes each took turns in grabbing a fortune.

After purchasing, they looked at the associated signage and…

Nepenthes: “Hehehe ‘working out every day will bring good fortune’ huh… it seems to know something good.”

Julius: “Hey, don’t go looking at my fortune.”

Nepenthes: “Oh, but we never talked about not showing each other, did we? And with that finely tuned body… just imagining it has my tongue dancing.”

Julius: “…this fortune, does it really tell you how to have a good year?”

Nepenthes had on an enraptured expression and, disconcerted, Julius hid his fortune.

Gerber: “What’s written on your fortune note Akito?”

Akito: “It says… ‘be careful of overeating’.”

Akito’s voice changed to one of confusion as he looked at his fortune and read it aloud.

Lyon: “Ah! That’s the same as mine!”

Gerber: “Lyon aside, telling Akito to be careful of overeating… I wonder if that means you’ll encounter something really delicious?”

Lyon: “They’re selling lots of delicious food all around here. Actually, I was looking at those giant steamed buns in the shop over there but…”

Lyon reluctantly looked away from the shop a little ways off that was selling the steamed buns.

Akito: “Lyon. If you’re worried about the fortune… do you want to eat the steamed bun together? If we share, we won’t have to worry about ‘overeating’ right?”

Lyon: “Oh yeah! Thanks Akito!”

Lyon looked up as his stomach growled, and the wind carried off their laughter.

Julius: “I’m surprised to hear that kind of invitation come from you.”

Akito: “Yes, I am as well. When I’m with everyone… I seem to feel much more at ease.”

Akito seemed embarrassed as he spoke, but the expressions of the others softened.

The shining fortune notes in everyone’s hands reflected the light of the sun, prophesizing the beginning of a bright year.
