Ch. 4: Amazement
From Antares’ magic, the me reflected in the mirror was like a completely different person.
Antares: “…”
Looking at me like that, I saw Antares’ eyes waver.
OO: “Antares?”
Antares: “Ah…”
OO: “I-I look weird, don’t I?”
Antares: “No…”
He cleared his throat and…
Antares: “You look better than I’d imagined.”
His face was a little red as he spoke those few words.
OO: “Eh…”
Antares: “It’s nothing…this is just my first time seeing someone like you.”
I saw myself reflected in his deep crimson eyes.
Ch. 5: Hopes
Antares: “It’s just my first time seeing someone of your type.”
His crimson eyes had been staring at me for a while.
OO: “W-what does that mean?”
Antares: “Ah, nothing… sorry, I didn’t think I could be honest with you. Up until now, none of the princesses I’ve seen have been your type…”
OO: “My type?”
Antares: “How do I put it…natural? Something like that.”
OO: “…I’m not very princess-like, am I.”
(But, that’s just how I am.)
Antares: “Hey, don’t misunderstand. It’s not a bad thing.”
Saying as much, Antares gave a satisfied smile.
Antares: “…it’s a good thing. I had wondered what would happen, but you’re pretty cute.”
The words he spoke sounded as if they came from the heart.
OO: “Thank you. It’s because of you.”
His words had me embarrassed, and I smiled as I replied…-
Antares: “This is going to be quite interesting.”
OO: “Eh?”
Antares looked at me, his eyes glittering.
Antares: “Now, let’s go into town.
OO: “Um, what?”
Antares: “You’re good to go. I wonder what will happen if I adorn you with even more. I look forward to it.”
With that same elegant smile, he offered me his arm.
OO: “…”
I slowly took it.
A feeling of embarrassment, but also something like excitement started to bloom in my chest.
