[You and the Textbook for Studying Love] ~Another Story~ The evening sun illuminates the art room… Within the art club, third year student Shao and second year students Patir and Nepenthes are under the watchful eye of their advisor Frost as they work hard on their individual clay creations. Their works are full of character, showcasing their three distinctive preferences and personalities…-.

The shouts from the sports clubs can be heard outside of a particular room after school…-.

In the art room, illuminated by the setting sun, the art club students were hard at work.

Nepenthes: “This brilliant color just stimulates the appetite, doesn’t it!”

Frost: “Nepenthes. It’s fine to be bold but be more aware of your surroundings.”

Nepenthes, who was vigorously waving a brush around and spattering paint all over the room, was chided by the club advisor, Frost.

Nepenthes: “Whoops, apologies… anyway, what are you two making?”

Patir: “It’s a sea slug. Shao-senpai is doing the modeling, and I’m in charge of the coloring.”

Shao: “Since sea slugs come in a variety of colors and patterns, I thought they would be lovely given Patir’s sense for color.”

Patir: “Shao-senpai, you liked the fact that the chosen topic was sea life, don’t you? Well, I accepted it since it sounded like an interesting subject, so I believe it’s worth doing.”

Frost nodded in satisfaction as the two worked on their pieces happily.

Frost: “A collaborative piece… that’s not a bad idea, working together on a piece that focuses on your strengths. So, Nepenthes. What are you making?”

At those words, Shao and Patir turned their eyes towards Nepenthes’ creation.

His subject matter this time was clay sculpting, and he was to make his piece as he pleased, however…-.

He’d taken that freedom a little too far, and his construct was packed full of colors.

Nepenthes: “I’m so glad you asked! This piece is the manifestation of the ‘Ultimate Gourmet Food’ that I have yet to encounter.”

Patir: “…Oh. So, it’s supposed to be food.”

As if to verify Nepenthes’ claim, the clay was indeed piled on top of a white plate.

Frost: “The manifestation of gourmet food, huh. This part here looks like it has a flower motif, but is it actually decorative food?”

Nepenthes: “Yes! The gelatin packed full of delicious ingredients and spitting out seeds is the ultimate flower!”

Shao: “Haha, Nepenthes, you really do think in an interesting way.”

Patir: “The use of color is very unique… though I don’t really see how it looks appetizing.”

Nepenthes: “You don’t!? I can’t stop drooling just looking at it!”

Seeing the students exchange their different opinions, Frost smiled.

Frost: “I suppose the piece has depth to it that we simply do not understand. Different people with their different opinions, creating and bringing forth those overflowing feelings. That is precisely why art is so interesting.”

Shao: “You’re right. Both Patir’s color sense and Nepenthes’ creativity are things I do not possess. That’s why I enjoy doing these activities together so much.”

Shao chuckled and looked on with amazement at Patir and Nepenthes as they shared their opinions.

As they each enjoyed their own individual activities, another peaceful after school time passed for the art club.
