The chocolates glitter like jewels, organized neatly in the showcase…-.
In the dazzling chocolatier shop stand three figures who are only slightly different from each other.
Roie: “As expected of a place called Shocolute in the Land of Chocolate. They truly have an extensive assortment.”
Volker: “So we just have to choose from all of these which chocolates to give OO?”
Theodore: “We came all this way, so I want to pick the one that will make her the happiest.”
Hearing those words, Volker turned towards Theodore.
Volker: “Theodore, I know you suggested gifting her the chocolate that’s popular for the Day of Love but… did you come here with a plan?”
Theodore: “The limited edition products sold here on the Day of Love are popular in the news, so I thought those would be good, but… all the chocolates around here look to be limited edition.”
Theodore pointed with a finger and the other two followed with great interest.
Roie: “Couverture chocolate? I’ve seen that term in a book.”
Theodore: “It has a high fat content, so it’ll have an especially good melt-in-your-mouth feeling to it.”
Volker: “These are… whiskey bonbons?”
Theodore: “Those are chocolates made with whiskey. Chocolate and alcohol have a high affinity and go good together…-.”
Roie smiled wryly as Theodore continued with an endless stream of miscellaneous facts.
Roie: “Theodore. Explanations are good, but we came here today to find chocolates for her.”
Volker: “That being said, I’m not sure what the criteria is for us making that decision…”
The three fell to silence, troubled expressions on their faces.
Theodore: “I-I know, first let’s investigate what kind of chocolates women prefer. …speech recognition on. ‘Chocolate women prefer.’”
Theodore spoke into the terminal of the watch on his arm and a cute 3D cat appeared.
Cat Avatar: “Popular chocolates includes raw chocolate, ganache, orangeite…-.”
Roie: “Going by that, most of the items in this shop fit.”
Volker: “…we shouldn’t be thinking about what women in general like in the first place, we should be thinking more about what OO would like, right?”
At Volker’s remark, all of those gathered immediately approved.
Roie: “First we’ll think from her perspective and come up with an idea.”
Theodore: “Ah…! She liked my Cat Avatar, so I wonder if a chocolate that looked cute would be good.”
Volker: “In that case, wouldn’t that rabbit-shaped chocolate over there be good?”
Roie: “Now that you mention it, she seemed happy when she was looking at beautiful flowers…-.”
They each contributed their own opinions and the options once more spread before them…
Roie: “….now then. Who is confident that one of these chocolates will make her happy?”
All Three: “…”
Once more, all three fell to silence with troubled looks on their faces.
It would still be some time before any of them would leave the shop.
