In Ivia, the Earth Country, two young boys spend a short moment together in the afternoon. Sefir and Dion are still young… and they exchange a small promise. Even now, this memory is one that will never change for them…-.

The clear blue sky spread across Ivia, the Earth Country…-.

In the early afternoon, two boys who were still young and friends spent some time together.

Sefir: “There’s so much cream on my muffin…”

Looking at the muffin in front of him, Sefir raised his voice in wonder as his wings shook slightly.

Sefir: “Huh… but you have hardly any at all Dion.”

Dion: “That’s because you’re a guest… besides, I don’t really like sweet things.”

Dion looked away from Sefir as be blew on the steam still rising from his hot mint tea.

Sefir: “Hey…! It’s not like I’m super happy about the cream thing!”

Dion: “Liar. I can tell just by looking at you that it makes you happy.”

Sefir: “Why are you so sure about that?”

Dion had said it with such certainty that Sefir started to pout.

Dion: “You have a tell.”

Sefir: “A tell…?”

Dion: “You didn’t know? Your wings tremble when you’re happy.”

Sefir: “…!”

At Dion’s words, Sefir was shocked as he turned to look at his back.

Dion: “Haha, you’re so easy to read.”

Sefir turned back around as Dion laughed, then took a sip of his tea.

Sefir: “…that’s no fair that I have a tell like that. But you’re just as easy to read as me Dion.”

Dion: “I am?”

Sefir: “I can tell, just by looking at your face. You wanted more cream too, didn’t you Dion?”

Dion: “I… already said I didn’t need it.”

Dion puffed out his cheeks slightly in a pout as he said it, and Sefir let out a laugh.

Sefir: “Haha, I thought so. Hold on a second.”

Sefir sat his muffin down, then picked up the muffin that was in front of Dion and left.

Sefir: “There wasn’t much cream left, so I got you cherries instead.”

Sefir returned shortly after, with a muffin topped with cherries.

Dion: “I… didn’t ask you to.”

Sefir: “It was the least I could do. This is better anyway, right?”

Dion: “You… are pretty stubborn.”

Sefir: “Then we’re stubborn together.”

Dion looked at the cherries, placed neatly on his muffin as they shone in the sunlight.

Dion: “…hmph.”

Dion was still pouting as he bit into the muffin, but his cheeks seemed to redden a little with delight.

Sefir: “You should come to my place for our next tea party. I’ll prepare lots of cream and cherries for you!”

Dion: “…okay.”

Sefir: “It’s a promise.”

On that day, they exchanged a casual promise…

These memories of days they could never return to would always be filled with warmth, wrapped in a gentle light.
