Beneath the perfectly clear blue sky, the streets were full of lively voices…-.
In Avalon of the Land of Weaponry, two shadows stood on the castle balcony overlooking the townscape.
Caliburn: “So this is where you were, Brother.”
Prytwen: “Caliburn, have you already finished with the preparations for leaving?”
Caliburn: “Yes, with no problems.”
A few days prior, a written invitation had arrived in Avalon.
There was written that, due to the Clock of Creation, Traumere had been temporarily restored for OO to carry out the Dream Vow Ceremony.
Prytwen: “It said it’s for making a vow of dreams for the people of the world… that girl really is amazing.”
Caliburn: “Brother, you were even quicker than normal in getting everything ready… is it because the invitation was from OO?”
Prytwen: “Eh!? I-I wouldn’t say that…”
Caliburn let out a small laugh seeing that reaction, and Prytwen loudly cleared his throat as if to brush the whole thing aside.
Caliburn: “But I can understand those feelings. On receiving her letter, everyone wanted to reply.”
Prytwen: “…yeah, that’s right.”
The atmosphere was unusually calm as Caliburn smiled, and Prytwen nodded to him before once more looking down at the town.
Prytwen: “What kind of vow do you think OO will make?”
Caliburn: “Good question… since it’s OO, I bet it will be something where she’s thinking about all of us from the bottom of her heart.”
Prytwen: “Yeah, you’re right… granted no matter what oath she makes, we’ll have to do our best to respond.”
As the two thought of the only woman they knew with such sweetness and strength of heart, they both felt a refreshing breeze as it blew across Avalon.
Prytwen: “First off, as princes, we have to accomplish what we’ve set out to achieve. We’ll push forward so that the people of this country can spend their days smiling.”
Caliburn: “So then you believe you’re actually helping the world by supporting her?”
Prytwen: “…don’t make fun of me Caliburn.”
Caliburn: “Haha, it’s because you’re always so honest Brother.”
With an invigorating laugh, Caliburn gently touched the handle of the sword slung across his back.
Completely different from his usual easy-going air, determination flashed in his eyes.
Caliburn: “The strongest sword and shield to protect Avalon… I’m not ashamed to say I’m the same, wanting to become a worthy prince. And I want to be a source of strength for her too.”
Prytwen: “Yeah. And in order to do that, we’ve got to get even stronger than we are now. I’m counting on you, Caliburn.”
Caliburn: “That’s what I’d planned all along, Brother.”
An even stronger light filled their eyes as they set their sights ahead on the future.
The dazzling rays of the sun shone down on them from the blue sky, as if blessing the two princes who were of one mind.
