Ch. 1: Amore

The sudden light cut through the verdant green of the forest…-

The prince who had been awakened from the ring suddenly lifted me up into his arms.

??: “I’ve wanted to see you, amore.”

OO: “…!”

Then he suddenly kissed my forehead.

OO: “W-what are you doing!?”

I blinked repeatedly.

Cohen: “I’m Cohen. Call me amore, or darling.”

He continued to look at me, his eyes passionate and stubborn.

Cohen: “Oh my, are you being shy?”

(What the heck…)

Paying no mind to me and my confusion, Cohen winked at me.

Cohen: “Now let us go, to our love nest.”

He walked away, still holding me.

My head was spinning.

Ch. 2: The Same Room

And then…-

I was forcibly taken part of the way, and then we finally arrived at Cohen’s castle.

Maid: “Now now, I’ve prepared a bed for the two of you.”

After our arrival and the warm welcome that followed, we were guided to a room.

Cohen: “This is my room. Make yourself at home.”

OO: “Um, what about my room…?”

Cohen: “What are you saying kitten? We will spend our time here, together.”

OO: “Eh!!”

Cohen: “Why are you surprised? We are a pair of attractive people. This is the natural course after all.”

(What the…!)

Cohen: “Now, let’s not waste anymore time.”

Saying as much, Cohen lifted me up and put me on the bed.

Maid: “Oh my oh my, such passion. I shall take my leave.”

OO: “Ah, w-wait a minute!”

My voice was lost to the world as the sound of the door closing drowned it out.

(What is going on…?)

Without giving me a chance to speak, Cohen gently stroked my cheek.

Cohen: “So we’re finally alone, just the two of us kitten.”

Cohen coiled his arm around my back, and brought his lips in close…

OO: “Stop…”

I reflexively leapt off the bed.

Cohen: “Do you hate me?”

He looked at me with an incredibly sad expression.

As I took in that gaze, I could do nothing more than stand there confused.

Ch. 3: Chemistry

After I had reflexively leapt out of the bed…-

Cohen: “Do you hate me?”

OO: “No, it’s not like that!”

Cohen: “Then what’s the problem? I desire you so much!”

(How can I give a good answer to that…)

As I didn’t answer, Cohen sadly hung his head.

OO: “Um, this is the kind of thing you do with someone like a lover …!”

As I spoke, I could feel my cheeks heating up.

Cohen: “Really? In my kingdom, people decide to become lovers only after they’ve checked their physical compatibility.”

OO: “Eh!?”

Cohen: “I loved you the moment I awoke and looked into your eyes. And you didn’t say you disliked me, amore.”

OO: “W-wait…!”

Cohen: “Now, let us check our chemistry together. I’ll be sure to satisfy you.”

He reached his arm out to me.

I backed away and pressed my shaking back against the wall.

OO: “Th-this is really strange and all so…!”

Cohen: “Kitten…so you’re like that.”

OO: “Please, stop…!”

Cohen: “What on earth is wrong?”

OO: “I can’t do something like that with someone I don’t love…”

Cohen: “…are you shaking?”

As if taken aback in surprise, Cohen became noticeably flustered.

Cohen: “So I’ve frightened you…I’m sorry. I won’t do anything now, so please stop shaking. How can I act so I don’t frighten you again?”

OO: “…please, just deal with me normally. Like you would a friend.”

Cohen: “A friend…a friendship cannot consist of a man and a woman, though that’s just my opinion. However if that is how you’d like to handle this, let’s give it a try.”

Cohen shrugged his shoulders.

And in that way, Cohen and I became friends.
