As for issues with translating, it was really hard to get Leonie’s speech pattern across. He actually uses a really masculine way of talking, ending a lot of sentences with ぜ and よ. It really made me think of Syo from Uta no Prince-sama or Asta from Black Clover. I even reviewed the subtitles used for those characters in an effort to try and get a better idea of how to translate Leonie’s lines, but turns out there isn’t a lot done to get the masculinity across. Also, side note, the voice actor for Leonie actually is in Uta no Prince-sama, but he plays Otoya.
Because of the way he talks, he speaks really casually and there were a few times it was hard to figure out exactly…what he was trying to say. But I used context and think I got the translation right. Still not a fan of his character, but it was nice to face the challenge of translating someone who speaks like Leonie does.
