The next 2-star prince I decided to do was Spica. He had his first event a little while ago with the Oni Village, and that got me curious. I have to say, just like with Sharon, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked Spica. He’s a little absentminded, which is kind of funny, but he’s also got an interesting thing going with the stars and horoscopes. I’d really like to see more done with his character. I have a little trouble imagining him as a real love interest just going off of this story, he’s more like the super loyal yet quirky friend that you always keep around, but his Oni Village version may lend itself a little more to the romantic side! Not that I’ve read it yet…I have him, I just haven’t gotten around to reading the story, let alone translate it. I’ll get to it…eventually.I’d say the only trouble I had with his translation was in Ch. 3 when he’s kind of talking to himself about the stars. He mentions the メルト星雲 (meruto seiun) which I translated as ‘Melt Nebula’ and the ティオル星 (tioru hoshi) which I translated as ‘Tiol Star’. I looked up these names and other spelling variations to see if they were real things (of course they aren’t, this is a fictional world, what am I thinking!?) as I wanted to check my romanization. I have no idea if ‘Melt’ and ‘Tiol’ are the ‘proper’ ways of writing those names out in English, but since it’s all made up anyway, I don’t think it matters!
